Explore San Francisco (San Pancho), Nayarit, Mexico
The village of San Francisco, nicknamed San Pancho, used to be a mango processing town. It has a beautiful beach, lovely homes, a few upscale restaurants and shops, and a polo field sporting an upscale clubhouse that serves great food and beverages while you are entertained by the polo ponies and their riders attracting an eclectic group of residents and visitors. The view from the beach is truly spectacular. And if you’re lucky, the whales and dolphins will put on a show for you.
Beaches & Attractions
It is worth noting that when you arrive in Puerto Vallarta, you will be on Central Time. Once you head north, you will leave the state of Jalisco and enter the state of Nayarit. The time zone no longer changes at the state lines as it once did. The new time zone includes the towns of Mezcales, Bucerias, Sayulita, San Pancho and Lo de Marcos. So, once you pass Lo de Marcos (and head towards Los Ayala, Guayabitos, La Peñita), be sure to turn your watches back one hour as you will now be on Mountain Time.
