Thanks Jaltemba Bay from Las Tres Amigas!

It’s been quite a season of fundraising for us, sometimes very hectic, but always rewarding. We’ve met a lot of people, had a lot of fun and even learned a few new Spanish phrases. In total we raised over $100,000 pesos for local charitable organizations. Here’s a breakdown of the funds raised at each event and what the organization has or will put the pesos towards. We could not have accomplished this without support from all the good people in this area.

First and foremost, we want to thank all the fine, generous, supportive, kind, encouraging, big hearted, giving, charitable people who attended our events. You know who you are! Give yourselves a pat on the back for being so community minded. We also want to thank the businesses and individuals who contributed in many ways (entertainment, auction and raffle items, restaurant services, lodging, decorations and sometimes surprises –
even to us!)

About Las Tres Amigas: We are three women (Helma, Maxine and Nora), who one day sat discussing fundraising and how the community needed an afternoon event when Fiesta 2012 at the Bartlett residence was no longer being offered. Two of us had already thought of an afternoon tea and we were off to the races as they say. We have all been involved in our respective communities and have the philosophy of giving back to where you live. We would be delighted to have offers of volunteers for any of the events you find particularly enticing. Our contact e-mail is
