El Gigio Italian Pizzeria: Closed December 23-25, but available for private parties on these days. Normal hours on Thursday, December 26. Open normal hours with regular menu on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. New Year’s Eve menu to be announced soon. Learn more

El Panorama Villa Hotel B&B: Offering a special Boxing Day Brunch (December 26). Breakfast at Tiffany’s menu includes choice of quiche or eggs benedict from 9am-noon. Reservations are required. Learn more

Hinde y Jaime’s Bar & Restaurant: Closed for Christmas. Special New Year’s Eve party, but tickets are already sold out. Learn more

Las Brisas Restaurant: Closed Christmas Day (December 25). Special New Year’s Eve party with music by Manuel & Friends. Dinner is a combo plate with BBQ ribs, coconut shrimp and chicken fajitas, beets and pineapple, white rice and veggies (kids option: shrimp quesadillas). Traditional apple salad and grapes for dessert to celebrate the new year. Time: 7pm-1am. Price: $220 pesos per person, includes one drink. Reservations are required. Learn more

Los Compadres Restaurant & Bar: Christmas Dinner (December 25) with traditional roasted turkey, baked ham, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet corn, cranberries, green salad and dinner rolls, plus homemade apple pie or chocolate cake for dessert. Price: $300 pesos per person, includes glass of wine, beer or soda. Reservations are needed. Normal hours and menu served New Year’s Eve. Learn more

Las Fuentes Restaurant (formerly Salvador’s on the highway): Christmas Eve Dinner & Dance with the Perez Brothers (December 24) from 4-10pm; Happy Hour 4-6pm with 2×1 drinks. Choice of Chicken stuffed with mushrooms or Garlic Shrimp sauteed in cantones sauce. Price: $350 pesos per person, includes bottle of wine for every 4 people. New Year’s Eve party with Salvador’s Band and his boys from 6pm-midnight. Choice of BBQ Ribs (mom’s recipe), Breaded Fish Filet or Garlic Shrimp all with salad, dressing, dessert and all you can drink cocktails. Price: $350 pesos per person. New Year’s Day (January 1) mixed buffet, plus regular menu and music. Price $100 pesos per person. Reservations are required for all events. Learn more

Latitude 21 Bar & Restaurant: Closed Christmas (December 24-25). New Year’s Eve party with music by Mezcales. Choice of Filet Mignon, Grilled Chicken or Baked Fish, all served with veggies, mashed potatoes or rice, dessert. $350 pesos per person, includes one margarita, piña colada, wine or beer and champagne to toast the New Year. Party starts at 5pm. Mateja’s Bar & Grill: Christmas Eve Dinner (December 24). Offering a Stuffed Chicken Breast special from 2-6pm for only $95 pesos. Reservations are required. Closed Christmas Day (Mateja takes this day off every year to deliver food and candy to 20 adopted families in Guayabitos). Open normal hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Learn more

Mr. Ribs Restaurant: Open Christmas (December 24-25) and New Year’s Eve (December 31). Serving a special turkey dinner with dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, cranberry sauce and one free drink. Price: $170 pesos per person. Learn more

Salvador’s Restaurant: Dinner & Dance on Christmas Day (December 25). Dinner includes turkey dinner, green salad and french onion soup. Price: $200 pesos per person. Reservations are required. Learn more

Teriyaki Alex: Open Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year’s Eve (December 31) with normal hours and regular menu. Closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Learn more

Toñita III (located next to Decameron Los Cocos): Christmas Dinner (December 25) with turkey, stuffing and a margarita or glass of wine. Dance music from 5-10pm. Price: $200 pesos per person. Special New Year’s Eve event with live music by the Perez Brothers and DJ music. Dinner includes chicken breast stuffed with shrimp or pork tenderloin in plum sauce. 8pm-1am. Lo de Marcos

Luna Italian Restaurant: Offering regular menu on Christmas Eve. Closed December 28th and New Year’s Eve (December 30-31) for special catering events. They will re-open with regular hours on Friday, January 3. Learn more
*Editor’s Note: Luna now has live music in their garden with “Dos Bertos y Las Musas” every other Monday beginning December 9. “Marisol Diamante Negro” will be playing on December 16. Reservations are recommended.

San Pancho

Bistro Organico (at Hotel Cielo Rojo): Organic Christmas Dinner (December 24-25). Menu includes appetizer (fish ceviche with keffir lime and mint), soup (spicy ginger broth with green beans and goat cheese), starter (sauteed spinach with kale, clams and red pepper sauce), main course (mahi-mahi or parrot fish with Mexican pesto, black beans and burned cactus, green salad with cilantro dressing or grilled red bell pepper fettucini with pesto vegetables sauteed and aged sheep cheese) and dessert (chocolate cake with coconut pecan filling). Price: $405-550 pesos per person, includes cocktail and wine pairing. 5:30-6pm or 8:30-9pm seatings. Learn more
