Explore Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico
Sayulita is a charming fishing village, although it is more widely-known as a busy bohemian surf town filled with jewelry stands, specialty boutiques, surf shops, realty offices, coffee shops, palapa-covered beach restaurants, as well as several small boutique hotels and bungalows. Here in Sayulita, you will find a fabulous beach, good food, great people watching, incredible surfing and wonderful shopping – or of course, you can always just hang out on the beach and get a massage while you sip on a margarita or two.
Beaches & Attractions
It is worth noting that when you arrive in Puerto Vallarta, you will be on Central Time. Once you head north, you will leave the state of Jalisco and enter the state of Nayarit. The time zone no longer changes at the state lines as it once did. The new time zone includes the towns of Mezcales, Bucerias, Sayulita, San Pancho and Lo de Marcos. So, once you pass Lo de Marcos (and head towards Los Ayala, Guayabitos and La Peñita), be sure to turn your watches back one hour as you will now be on Mountain Time.
