There are several local farmers markets, artisan markets and co-op markets where you can shop for everything from organic produce and homemade goodies, to one-of-a-kind jewelry and artwork.

La Peñita Tianguis Market

Thursdays – Year Round
This is one of the largest and most well-known open-air markets in the area, and people come from miles around to attend. From local artists displaying silver and handmade jewelry, glassware, Talavera pottery, beautiful Oaxacan wool rugs and the famous Huichol Indian beaded artwork – to vendors with carts of ceviche and jumbo shrimp, homemakers selling fresh pastries and linens, and pickup trucks overflowing with poblano peppers and watermelons – you name it, they’ve got it here.

Rincón de Guayabitos Tianguis

Mondays – November through March
You’ll find a variety of custom-designed silver jewelry, pottery, linens, Talavera plates and sinks, glassware, Huichol Indian artwork, Oaxacan rugs and just about anything else you might be looking for.

Lo de Marcos Tianguis

Saturdays – November through March
The new Tianguis in Lo de Marcos features a variety of products made by talented artisans and growers of organic produce, as well as a food court with a selection of hard-to-find food items. Everything sold must be artisanal, organic, handmade or prepared using only natural products.

Location: Luis Echeverria #9 (half block east of plaza)

San Pancho “Mercado del Sol” Market

Tuesdays – November through May
Offering a large selection of natural, organic, herbal and healthy products.

Location: Plaza del Sol (main plaza)

Sayulita “Mercado del Pueblo” Farmers Market

Fridays – November through May
Featuring a variety of organic produce, natural food products.

The philosophy of the Mercado del Pueblo is to bring local, sustainable, and natural food and consumable products to the people of Sayulita and its surrounding communities. All products at the market are grown, raised, harvested, preserved or transformed in some way by the vendors. The Mercado is organized and managed by a small group of local women who are dedicated to this vision, and all members of the Mercado Committee volunteer their time and effort towards the Mercado.

La Cruz Mercado

Sundays – November through April
This beautiful venue attracts vendors selling homemade food items, organic fruits and veggies, fresh and smoked fish, and lots of one-of-a-kind jewelry and artwork.

Bucerias Market

Mondays
Featuring organic produce, gourmet foods, exotic coffees, home baked desserts, jewelry and art.

Puerto Vallarta Old Town Famers Market (Tianguis Cultural)

Saturdays
Great selection of locally grown farm-fresh produce, artisan foods, handmade crafts, art, jewelry, clothing and live music. All products are made, baked, grown and sold by vendors living within 75km of Puerto Vallarta.

The Farmers & Artists Market
“Tres Gallinas y un Gallo”

Saturdays
Their mission is to support local Puerto Vallarta’s artisans and let people enjoy their handcrafted products.

Note: “Tres Gallinas y un Gallo” translates to Three Hens and a Rooster.
