Fourteen years ago, Beto Cuevas purchased a large plot of land on the very south end of Rincón de Guayabitos. Beto’s dream was to build a restaurant there that took advantage of the property’s spectacular view. He immediately began planting trees and flowering tropical plants to enhance the property. Ten years later, in March 1993, his vision came to fruition as he and his family opened Vista Guayabitos, a 150-seat fine-dining restaurant that successfully showcases this unparalleled panoramic view of the Bay of Jaltemba.
During the next few years, two things happened – they realized that they did not need that much space for the restaurant and their customers began asking them to build rental rooms. In June 2012, they began remodeling the restaurant to make room for the new suites. The suites took 10 months from construction to completion, and they worked with people from Jaltemba Bay, Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.
Nadia Cuevas, who manages the new Suites Vista, says that by adding the suites “we are giving our customers the whole thing” because they can continue to “enjoy the view.” Nadia says that she “put her heart and soul into this project and filled the suites with things she likes so that couples will feel at home when they stay here.”
The spacious suites have 120 m² (1,300 ft²) and are decorated with high-end stainless steel appliances, modern and contemporary furnishings, flat-screen TVs, cable, internet access and air conditioning, as well as private balconies with incredible views of the bay and beyond. The close proximity to Vista Guayabitos Restaurant also allows guests to order food from their suites.
Nadia plans to offer Beach Club access at Paraiso del Pescador Bungalows & RV Park in Guayabitos, which is managed by her husband, Cristobal Romero. Paraiso del Pescador is a family-owned business and has been in operation since 1976.
Since completing the suites, the response from friends and clients has been overwhelming positive. Beto and his wife, Laura, are really excited to share this amazing project and the view offered at Suites Vista. Nadia emphasized that “there is no place like this and we hope people come and enjoy the quiet, private and relaxing feel of our new suites.”
Suites Vista is now accepting reservations for the 2013-14 Season.
