Letter to the Editor: Corkscrew Exercise Program

On occasion, we get emails from our readers that make us chuckle, and this one did just that. Thank you Bert for making our job just a little more fun! Readers, keep the letters coming.

Hello Allyson & David!

Funny, thought of you right away when this attachment arrived at our doorstep. With all the editing and hard work you’re putting in to keep your newspaper interesting and entertaining you ought to do some easy exercise, one that allows you to “pull it off” right at your computer. Heck, if I can do it…! Try it, you’ll like it. Just follow the right sequencing, you don’t have to change equipment at all. Don’t even think of it, patent pending!!

I miss Rincón de Guayabitos and everything around it.

Just curious, has David finally moved up to a drinkable Tequila??? As to David’s acquired taste for Tequila I believe the jury is still out on that subject. It is he who introduced me to El Compadre at your oceanside home many moons ago. Surprisingly smooth – probably due to the fact it’s comprised mostly of distilled water – I rushed out to purchase a few bottles of David’s favourite elixir. May it suffice to say that some of my purist Tequila acquaintances are no longer on speaking terms with me. Now, before David retreats into a defensive shell let me assure you that I thoroughly enjoyed El Compadre in his company and surrounds, proof positive that it’s not always what’s in a bottle but who one shares it with.

As to my intentions of re-visiting Guayabitos, well, it’s a no-brainer, really. Too many amigos left behind, so much tennis left in me! We will have to work out a schedule, or time line, as my better half shows some reluctance to return. Certainly not by RV! Although I loved Mexico’s interior landscape so easily accessible on wheels. So, sooner or later you will hear my beckoning call: “Anybody home? No, thank you, David, I’ll settle for a cold cerveza!”

You take good care of one another. May 2013 bless you both with good fortunes to boot.

Home-sick for Rincón,
Bert, aka Norberto
