KinderAide’s 2nd Annual Street Dance was a HUGE Success!

On Sunday, February 10th, Petra was kind enough to host another fundraiser for KinderAide. A whopping $29,000 pesos was raised and a great time was had by all.

Some of the proceeds from this event will be spent at Jardin de Niños: Luis Pasteur in the Lazarus Colonia in La Peñita. KinderAide will be able to complete a project connecting water to the school.

KinderAide’s mandate is simple – to collect and distribute donated school supplies and provide volunteer English teachers to local kinder schools, BUT it’s much more than that. This season KinderAide has distributed over 100 boxes of donated crayons. For most of these children, it was their first, new, box of crayons – ever!

Music for the event was donated by Cole & Noble, Adan, Manuel and our newest volunteer talent, Buzz. The tables, chairs, umbrellas and gazebos were donated from Super Poppins, Maxi Eventos and Las Brisas Restaurant. Lulu, Belen Selene and Lucy donated their time cooking, while 10 lovely ladies donated homemade salads. Lise spent the evening before the dance, baking 250 buns. Countless volunteers volunteered on the spot.

An event like this doesn’t just happen. It takes great people working together. THANK YOU to everyone – especially Petra.
