Jerry Flanders, 59, passed away suddenly from a heart attack in La Peñita, Mexico on December 15. Jerry lived life to the fullest. His easy going nature, willingness to help others, and his quick smile will always be remembered. He was a man of integrity, always busy, always happy. He enjoyed his work for 35 years at the Campbell River pulp mill, where he was highly respected. He raised his daughter Sheri, as a single Dad, and was the proud grandfather of two grandchildren, Saige (2) and Oliver (3 months). Jerry held Ryan Arkwright (son in law) in high regard. Jerry had a passion for fishing, bowling and golfing. He could build or repair anything in his shop. He enjoyed the companionship of the many good friends he made throughout the years.
More recently, he married the love of his life, Jane Fellows, on June 7, 2012. He made her family, his. Her daughter Annilee, sons Ben and Adam Guy and his wife Tiffani, and their children Nafiyas (7) and Aaliya (5 months) were blessed to have Jerry in their lives. His loving wife, Jane, introduced him to life in Mexico where he quickly made new friends and enjoyed time “guarding the pool.”
Jerry was predeceased by his beautiful boy, Danny, and his parents. Family members are left to grieve.
Jerry will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been part of his life. By his request, he was cremated and his ashes will be spread in the Seymour Narrows in the summer of 2013.

“How can it be that so soon after finding you, I must lose you – my dearest friend, companion, love-of-my-life? There aren’t enough tears to shed or words to express how much I am going to miss having you in my life.”
Love you forever, Jane
