6th Annual La Casa de los Niños Golf Tournament

La Casa de los Niños is an after-school enrichment program for the children in and around Lo de Marcos and was established in December 2005. On any given day, 40-50 children from the age of 6-15 participate in the variety of activities offered. It is a US based nonprofit charity dependent on financial, material and volunteer support from a wide variety of sources.

On February 28th and March 1st, 2014 (Friday-Saturday), La Casa de los Niños will be holding their 6th Annual Golf Tournament at Campo de Ensueño in El Monteón. The individual entry fee is $600 pesos with 9-holes of play held each day. Participants will sign up as individuals and will be placed on a team in a semi “blind draw” format. There will be food, entertainment, raffles, auctions and prizes! Check in times each day will be at 8am Nayarit Time with a shotgun start at 9am.

Location: Campo de Ensueño Golf Club (Field of Dreams), El Monteón
Entry Fee: $600 pesos

Proceeds of the tournament will go to supporting ongoing activity programs for all age groups including Circulo de Chicas and Circulo de Chavos in providing self esteem activities for our older kids, replenishing consumable materials such as arts and craft supplies, maintaining the “Beca” program to help kids go on to Prepatoria, the purchase of musical instruments and books for the library. Monies are also utilized to help pay for ongoing expenses such as rent and maintenance for the casa building and salaries for four local Maestros who work with the children year round. One of our goals is to obtain a large canopy cover to be used as shade and for rain protection.

    Hola! The La Casa de los Niños golf tournament will now be held on Saturday, MARCH FIRST instead of having it a two day event. 18 holes of play, scramble format, shotgun start, lunch included after play, prizes, raffles, auction! Players of all levels are invited! Sign up as as an individual, tourney committee picks the teams! February 23 will be the last day to sign up!
